Is Sagres worth visiting?

That’s a question that I often get, and my answer is always absolutely yes.

Away from all the crazy massified truism in Algarve Sagres sits as a little town on the south-west of Portugal, since it’s on the very tip it’s blessed with two coasts, south and west. That gives it a perfect location for the ones that want to have a more relaxed holiday.

But don’t let it fool you, the fact that is a relaxed town doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do. Sorounded by stunning cliffs, Sagres is one of the surf capitals in Portugal and also one of the destinations of the fishermans tail. Therefore, one of the favourite places for the more active crowd.

But for me what it makes this places so special is the people, since is small town you always have a sense of community. Sagres, having a huge expat community makes the perfect multicultural brew, where the habitants being mostly surfers it always gives this laid back atmosphere.

But don’t trust me, come and see it for yourself, and you tell me.

Sam’s out, have a nice surf sessions ;)
